Application

For draining ground seepage, basement, boiler pits, scale and elevator pits, or any area that must be kept dry that is below sewer level. Will handle all small solids in liquid to be pumped that will pass thru pump suction strainer openings.

Capacities

5 to 275 GPM @ total heads to 50 Ft.

Specifications

  1. Motor – Highest quality, nationally known and serviced motors are used on the Monitor series. They are of the vertical, ball bearing type available in single phase, poly phase and direct current electrical ratings and in drip-proof, totally-enclosed and explosion-proof construction.
  2. Motor Bracket – Cast Iron. Machined to registered fit insuring perfect alignment of motor and pump shaft.
  3. Flexible Coupling – Coupling is of the 3-piece jaw and cushion type, accurately machined, key-seated and balanced.
  4. Thrust Bearing– Chrome steel, hardened and ground ball thrust bearing in dust-sealed, grease-lubricated housing above pump plate, carries weight and thrust loads of impeller-shaft assembly.
  5. Float Switch – Double-pole, U/L listed float switch is fully-enclosed in cast iron housing of motor support bracket thereby protecting is against accidental damage. Where is desirable to locate magnetic motor starter at pump installation, motor-height pedestal for float switch and starter is supplied for mounting on basin cover.
  6. Pump Plate – Aluminum pump plate is of gas-tight construction and is adjustable on pump column and discharge pipe to suit pump setting and basin floor level.
  7. Column – Rigid column fully enclose pump shaft and is machined for alignment shaft steady bearings with lubrication lines extending to central point above pump plate, are provided on pumps of longer setting.
  8. Shaft – Pump shafts are of carbon machinery steel, ground and polished throughout their length for smooth, vibration less operation.
  9. Volute – The pump volute is of high-grade, close-grained cast iron, carefully designed for maximum efficiency and strength.
  10. Impeller – Swaby impeller is of cast bronze, designed for efficient performance and carefully machined and balanced for long life.
  11. Float Assembly – The float is heavy-gauge coper of the sliding type operating on a brass float rod with adjustable buttons and the rod is anchored at top and bottom to eliminate surging in the sump.
  12. Suction Strainer – Strainer is of cast iron with smooth, large area openings and is located at bottom of the pump where it is less likely to clog with clothes lint or stringy material floating on the surface of the liquid being pumped down.
